Frequently Asked Questions
Where can we find you?
We're delighted to say you can find a sample of our stock at Independent Design Collective on North Street, Bristol and in Purple Hound in Corbridge.
We also regularly attend markets, fairs and country shows (COVID allowing!).
Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@fawnandblue) to be kept up to date.
You can contact us at any time by email at contact@fawnandblue.com.
What are Fawn & Blue products made from?
Our collars, leads and harnesses are made with strong industrial quality webbing which is robust, lightweight, and durable; it does not rot or weaken in the elements.
We sew our leads, collars and harnesses on an industrial machine, using extremely tough nylon thread.
We use fine cotton or cotton lawn fabric (reinforced where necessary) to decorate our accessories.
We only use welded metal hardware for extra strength.
So, are Fawn & Blue products vegan?
Yes, unless explicitly stated (for example, products using silk fabric), all our products are vegan and cruelty free.
What about the environment?
We do our best to look out for the environment and ensure we avoid plastic, where possible. All our packaging and labelling is made from recycled brown paper/card (which we happen to think looks great!).
We are also pleased to offer a REUSE scheme. If you want to trade in your current Fawn & Blue collar; we'd be happy to offer you a 25% discount on a new style (full price items only) and will re-use the metal hardware. We offer an additional 10% off sale items under our REUSE scheme.
We are also happy to discuss reusing hardware from other brands. Please drop us a line at contact@fawnandblue.com if you would like to consider this.
This means you can keep things fresh, whilst looking after the planet! Find out more information here.
How should I care for Fawn & Blue products?
We recommend that our products are hand-washed where possible. However, all our products (unless explicitly stated) are machine washable. We recommend they are washed at 30 degrees and tags are removed before washing.
How long will a Fawn & Blue product last?
Our products are extremely durable and well-made. They will remain functional for a very long time (provided they aren't chewed or set alight, at least!). Please check regularly for signs of damage and stop using if you have any concerns.
Our products are luxury products and how they wear will depend on how they are used and looked after. As with any fabric product, the fabric will wear over time (which won't affect the functionality) and the colours may fade with washing.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Most of the time, orders will be made from scratch, although we keep a small stock of products for craft fairs etc. so this is not necessarily always the case. We make every effort to make and despatch all orders within 5 working days.
We will let you know if this is not possible and agree a timescale with you.
Can you assist with special and/or bespoke orders?
Yes, absolutely! If you can't see what you're looking for, or perhaps you want to commission an item for a special occasion, please get in touch at contact@fawnandblue.com to discuss your requirements. We'd be delighted to assist.
Can I arrange local pick up?
We know delivery charges are a pain and try to keep them to a minimum. However, we're happy to make arrangements for locals to pick up our products and avoid delivery costs entirely. We're based in Knowle, Bristol.
If you want to pick up your order, just drop us a line at contact@fawnandblue.com to make arrangements. If you've already ordered but want to pick up, we'll refund any delivery charge, provided we haven't yet despatched your order.
What if I have an issue?
We hope you will be thrilled with our products. However, if you have any problems or complaints about any product bought/received from us, please contact us.
Please email us at contact@fawnandblue.com.
As a very small business, reviews are particularly important to us. We would therefore ask that you contact us and give us the opportunity to resolve any issues before giving us negative feedback.
